Lafayette General embraces hiring students and fosters a learning environment to help you meet your educational and professional goals. Students interested in pursuing a nursing profession can gain exposure to the patient care environment at LGMC as unit secretaries, emergency room technicians or patient transporters, moving up to patient care assistants once clinicals have been completed.
We maintain an education department to continue the learning experience throughout employment, providing an ideal setting for your transition into the nursing profession. Our preceptor program provides each new graduate a mentor to guide you through the clinical environment at LGMC. We also offer educational opportunities for new graduates to experience the inner workings of ancillary services, allowing you to build relationships and gain understanding of the skills and work flow in different clinical areas.
Lafayette General also provides educational assistance in the forms of tuition reimbursement assistance, loan repayment assistance and scholarship.
