Welcome to i bid,
the easy-to-use online auction that allows LGMC nurses to bid for open shifts.
Lafayette General consistently looks for innovative ways to give flexibility and control to our nurses. The hospital developed this system to give nurses priority, and top pay, in staffing open slots in the schedule. Nurses can access i bid at their convenience, even from the comfort of their own home. Who is eligible to bid?
All qualified and employed RNs and LPNs may participate in i bid. Agency nurses are not eligible. To be awarded a shift, the nurse must have completed orientation and be competent to work on that unit. How can I participate in i bid?
Join the nursing team at LGMC, either full-time, part-time, weekends or PRN pool to pick up shifts using i bid. Ask for Bernice Dean, our recruitment specialist at 289-8471 or email her at bdean@lgmc.com Apply online at lafayettegeneral.com
How do I bid?
After logging in, you may search for shifts by date, time of shift and by auction type. The system will then give you a list of all open shifts that match your search criteria, along with the current low bid on each shift.
Place a bid on the shifts you want, in increments of .1 (1.4, 1.3, and so on). The system will track your auctions and list them in a Bid History. You will receive an email when you are outbid; at that point you can bid on another shift on that date or rebid at a lower rate.
When the auctions close, you will receive a confirmation email for each shift you have been awarded. LGMC Lagniappe
Some i bid shifts will be designated, at random, as Lagniappe. A prize will be given to the nurse who
FIRST bids on that shift, whether awarded that shift or not. Prizes will include restaurant gift certificates,
movie passes, spa giveaways, etc.
Having trouble logging on?
If you are an employed LGMC nurse, and this is your first visit to i bid, use your LGMC email address - including the @lgmc.com as your user ID. Your initial password will be the last four digits of your social security number. Contact your nurse manager or service line administrator with additional i bid questions. |
